The AquaSplash is soon to welcome a team of BBC radio staff, who will take part in a swimming challenge at the pool in aid of Children in Need between November 4th and 8th.

This year, BBC radio teams from all over the UK are taking part in the Thousand Mile Swim, and the BBC Radio Jersey squad have chosen the AquaSplash to complete this epic challenge.

Steve Dunford, Contract Manager for Serco Leisure, which operates the facility on behalf of the Government of Jersey, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting BBC Radio Jersey and the Children in Need charity, which does such important work helping young people throughout the UK."

“We’re honoured that the BBC team have chosen the AquaSplash as the venue for their aquatic challenge. Good luck to everyone taking part!”

Chris Craddock, BBC Jersey senior communities reporter, said “it’s been great to see the support offered by the team at AquaSplash” and “the team has really gotten right behind this campaign for Children in Need”.

“They didn’t hesitate to let the BBC Jersey team use the pool for free during the week of the Thousand Mile Challenge which means as much money as possible will go to the charity.”
